Backpacks that fit 17" Laptops

NS,

I'm looking for something that will duel both as a excellent outdoor backpack as well as something that can lug around my obnoxious 17" laptop (Dell XPS). I've checked out most major brands: Dakine, Deuter, Patagonia, Black Diamond, Arcteryx, Osprey

The Black Diamond Outlaw Avalung seems pretty appealing with the added perk of the avalung (which I do not own).

I've also checked out the Dakine Vault (more street savvy than tech) and the Osprey Flap Jack. I really like the Osprey Metron and its features but it may be a tad on the smaller side.

If anyone has a functional backpack as I've breifly described above, point it my way!

How easily does it pack? I have/had the mission and can cram my xps 17 in the sleeve with about 50% success dependent on how much other material i have in it.

I've got a 17 inch dell aswell and I've found it fits quite comfortably in my Heli Pro 2 DLX and I've had it packed to the brim and still managed to get it in and out no bother. The pack itself is awesome with multiple ski and board carry options, insulated shoulder for hydration, soft lining goggle pocket, front pocket well suited to fit a shovel and quick draw ice axe/shovel handle holder aswell.

Yea I've got the same Dakine Heli Pro pack and it holds my 17" laptop really well. I use it both as a ski pack and carry all my shit for classes in it too with no problem at all

Fairly well if theres nothing in the bottom of the bag its not like its deforming the zips at the top so it closes up well, I can fit it, the power adapter, mouse, couple of A4 note books and a top without any hassle.
