Backpacking the Tetons

Whattup NS, I know ski season is just getting into full swing but I'm thinking about summer and backpacking. Me and my buddies wanna tackle the Tetons this summer. Anyone have any experience out there?

Recommend me with a 4-6 night loop that's got great views, and is moderate difficulty. No mountaineering please. This is a rope free trip. Anyway, we're an experienced group lookin for an adventure.

Take it easy

Thanks

Fuck ya do it man!!! I spent 4 of the last five summers and winters out there! If youre looking for a 4-6 days trek, you dont need to look and further than the Teton Crest Trail!

Its 40 miles long and takes on average 3-4 days of moderate hiking. I would recommend taking a day or two extra and summitting the middle or south tetons, or both! They are both reachable without the need for ropes/harness. So many high elevation lakes up there too!! Depending on how you work it, its fun to finish at the top of JHMR and you get to take the tram back down into Teton Village for free!

Came in here to suggest exactly this hike. Teton crest trail was hands down the coolest backpacking trip i've ever done. Incredible views, not too hard, and loads of variety in the views. I liked that more than anything ive done in Oregon, Washington, Glacier, Yellowstone, and idaho (so far)

This! My dad and I hiked this a few years ago and still one of my favorite hikes. Just challenging enough to keep a lot of people away, but not so bad you need a ton of gear, food, etc.

My next backpacking trip will be Teton Crest -> Yellowstone
