Im trying to find a backpack that i can take into pow and off piste but i want it to be able to carry my boots. All im looking for is it to have some straps on the side that will do the job. Ive been looking on evo but cant find anything good. suggestions

Why do you want a bag that will carry your boots in pow and off piste? Wot? are you running in the backcountry with your track & field shoes?

So you're looking for a boot bag or a backpack for long approaches? Sorry I'm just not clear and want to give decent advice.

Just pass your powerstraps through your backpack straps and join them. It's fine for hiking. Certainly fine for walking around town if that's all you want to do.

I use a Dakine heli pro, and just through them over the top of the backpack when im walking and they never fall off.

Most packs designed to carry boots on the side are like racer day packs and never have good ski carry straps.

you are gonna have to choose between a good bag for on the mountain (ski carry, shovel/probe access, etc) and a transportation bag (boot/helmet compartments). i would recommend going with the one for on the mountain, something like the heli pro is good.

i've just always looped my powerstraps through the top strap and clipped my helmet on somewhere and that has been fine for many travel days (flights, long bus rides, long walks around airports/cities). if you are just looking for something to use to get your gear to the mountain and short trips, that will work fine. if you are constantly doing really long trips and living out of your bag for a while and feel the need for a backpack that carry's everything. consider getting something like a boot bag and a seperate backpack for on the mounain

Thanks for the help. Ive decided ill probably get the heli pro and use my power straps. If im really feeling ambitous ill get the one i previously mentioned and experiment with sewing on a waist strap from an old bag
