Backflips vs corks?

Although I am not good enough to do either (hope lingers on the horizon), people are telling me that you should learn backflips before going cork. Is this true and how hard are they (backflips/cork)

ive never tried backflips, but they seem easier than corks. THen again i have never tried corks....but still. Corks seem like there would be alot more worry about getting off axis, then back on, while backflip you just throw it and ur basically still on the....y axis? (math talk warning)

point is backflip seems easier. I backflip off everything else (stumps, buildings, tramps, platforms into water, etc...) im bound to try them first on skis.

backlflip first cause then you get a feel for invertedness, or rather, not being in a regular rotation

i learned corks first and only yo...i'm not an invert guy, i mean i try a lincoln and end up doing a rodeo 3 WHAT THE FUCK!?

There are some people (myself) who just can't do cork. When I set cork I go Flatspin... which would make backflips easier. Backflips require you only to know how to do them on a tramp, while in a cork you need to know how to spin first and how to set cork.

backflip is easier than 3 therefor if you get the sense of going inverted before going cork and such, it should be easier.

backflips are soooo easy, and as long as you keep your head coming around and dont over rotate you wont eat shit and ive never gone cork cus im a pussy but i would try a back first jus cuz there easy

I havent tried any corks yet but, the rotation and getting off axis and back on axis seems pretty natural. grab a football or something like that and "cork 720" it and you'll see what I mean.

back flips scare me, i have never even tried one, but corks and rodeos arnt that hard at all just commit and you wont have a problem with any trick really

they are completly diffent bacf;lip is 100 times eazier lern flips to get the fell of not being up right then for corks jsut drop a shoulder and hope for the best

learn it on diving boardsand tramps fisrt

backflips are easyer for sure but you dont need to know how to do them to do corks. they are compleatly different tricks

everyone says backflips are easier than spinning a 3 and that may be true but its way hard to sack up and do a backflip but spinning a 3 is redic. easy

Well Backflips are great for learning how to use the curve of the jump. Corks have the same set as a 7 but use the curve of the jump the same as a backflip. That make sense?

They are pretty different feels, I guess they might have the same air sense, but backflips feel way more natural because you go with the jump, corks are a tad different. But you can learn both in one day.

i can do backflips on tramps and used to do corks now i cant get the rotation/axis right its wierd ass hell. backflips are all commitment but corks are "harder" in a skill sense

i can do backflips way easier then corks. start with backs they are a little more dangerous but easier to do, same with linclons i can do them to they are easier to do then corks and i think backflips maybe.

ps. this is coming from a kid that fractured his spleen doing b-flips.

:)

i cant say ive tried eiter myself but it sounds the right way to go, just make a really poppy kicker into powder and commit to a backflip, and try then on tramps/diving boards first to get used to the rotation and stuff

personally, you don't need to learn backs before you go cork, since it's a very different feel when you take off.    i find corks easier anyways.

you certainly don't need to learn backflips before corks. It's like asking if you should learn lincoln loops before learning zero spins.

backflips are super easy just takes balls. i mean we taught my friend hanna who never skis park at all, never jumps, to do a backflip in 4 tries and her bro in 3

Their both fucking easy as shit. Just backflips are a more mental thing. And why would you need to learn a backflip before a cork? You don't even go inverted when doing a corked spin, you go off axis like this / ,thats corked.

backflips are real easy, just sack up and try it, i guarentee if you commit the whole way around you will stick it in at most 3 times, no lie. ive neevr tried corks, im gunna try a cork 7 or a 5 this year idk
