Backflip on ground

I can backflip pretty confidently off of anything down to a knuckle but I never have the balls to do them on like concrete just off the ground. Am I just being a pussy fair enough but I wanted to see if that was pretty normal or not first?

backflips on ground are way harder then doing them off something elevated. you cant throw it the same way. my friend can do them and he and throws it really hard and brings his knees into his chest right away with his arms. if you try it youll prob end up on your face or your knees if your lucky

seems like it. i never tried off the ground, although i can frontflip on flat ground. i never tried backflips though, try it on a gym mat or grass maybe.

hardest part is that you have to jump up before you start to throw the spin. most kids throw it back immediately and end up on their face. you gotta jump as high as you possibly can then throw your knees into your chest and look back. wayyy different feeling than a laid out one on skis

1. gymnastics place for open gym

2. ask coach to teach you backflips

3. do said backflips on springy floor first

4. try one on non springy floor

5. get ladies for you awesome backflipping skills!!!

kid at my school did that over the summer and whenever he scored a touchdown in football he threw a massive laid out backy... remember the dude is 6 4 has masssive black guy hops but he is wearing all the pads. it was dope

my friend can rodeo on flat ground or running. i can sometimes front flip or ninja flip(call it what you want) learn it to shallow water like gainer style then on flat.

yea man if you wanna throw one on cement do a few in the grass. you just gotta jump up and tuck the fuck outta your knees and just throw it around. definitely start at an open gym if you can, thats how i got my backflips back on point. if you learn them on the ground they get so much easier and steezier on the mountain

do them on tramp with no bounce until you are comfortable. then do the same thing on ground downhill. thats how i learned them. also sand is a great place to try them

Ive been doing them before and on your first time youll probably land on your knees...just try it, one i felt on my face and it didn't hurt so much!

I tried that but and can land them but I feel like I could get more pop off of the ground then just jumping without previously bouncing on the tramp. I feel like the tramp absorbs all my kinetic energy that I use for my initial pop no?

yessss. thats why you do them on tramp first, because if you can land it on tramp without bounce, you can sure as fuck do it on ground. just sack up

Opened this thread expecting to see backflips while skiing on groomers, highly disappointed.
