Is their return policy legit. I talked to the online people that work at the backcountry, but I still think its crazy to give full refund on any equipment. Must loose lots of money.

Yes it is true, and its a good ploy because of the possible X goods that they have to refund, they sell Y more due to the returning customers from this awesome policy.
