Backcountry in May???

Hey I was wondering if Berthoud pass or loveland pass would be any good in may. I hurt myself and need to extend my season. Would it be good for booters? +K
 
I skied 8 inches of wet pow but still good pow in june last year. you'll be fine, the berthoud area has around a 100 inch base right now.
 
Agreed, there is lots of goos stuff still out there late in the year. Obviously you need to watch out for wet slab avalanches on warm days, and in the afternoons in May. Just like subaru_303 said, pow in May in Colorado is awesome, especially since it should be more stable underneath, meaning you can ski lines in pow that you could never dream of skiing in the winter.
