Back Yard Terrain Park's "Snow Maker"

^ Here is the description.

You simply add cubed ice, like the 10 pound bags you

would find at

your local convenience or grocery store and run it

through the hopper

and out shoots snow.

It is really a cool item and SnowGel works even

better in

combination. You can crank out hundreds of pounds

of snow per hour,

too. It takes about 4 runs to go through a 10 pound

bag in a little

over a minute... very fast. Basically, it turns ice

to snow as fast

as you can feed the hopper.

The machine itself weights about 50 pounds. It is

so new we don't

even have a name for it yet.

We have been experimenting with machines that were

going to retail

around $2,000. But, recently we found another much

more cost

effective solution that will retail around $595,

plus shipping.

could you post the plans for that or something? I know hills do it with like a hose and a fan spraying a fine mist while its cold outside up here, anyone heard of a homade one of those

It needs to be 28* F wetbulb or lower to make snow with a snowgun. Check out http://www.snowguns.com

for more info on making your own snowgun (for the winter).

These summer ones basically grind ice into snow....cool.....but for 600 bucks? Hell no.
