Back-mounted bindings

Hey I asked this a few weeks ago and got no reply. What disadvantages are there of mounting way back? Im 2 or 3 back from steeles i think, I didn't mount them myself. But its noticably diff. from last year. I ski on vertigo motion G4s, dont ride switch very much (just outta 5s, not good enough to throw switch) and ski mostly pow. Im heading to SLC on Friday, Alta is getting dump after dump, and wanna make sure I am not fucking myself!

Thanks

if you are fucking yourself, are you going to get new skis and bindings and get them mounted and everything by wednesday so you can leave on thursday to be at alta on friday?

if your skiing pow, you oughta keep em a little back, so you should be fine as long as your not rippin switch...

dont worry about it

The farther back they are, the easier it is to float.

It's easier to keep your tips up that way.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.

seanpistol, i have an oldschool pair of enemies i could use, but i would have to have the bindings adjusted. i havent skied them in 3 years and they are beat to shit.

thanks for the info though guys
