Baby Giraffe syndrome

First couple days back for me have me feeling like I’m learning to walk again and I’m not sure why. Usually early season feels so dialed and makes you try the tricks you’ve been dreaming of all of season. But for whatever reason I can’t ski for shit. Do I blame it on gear? My new boots are shorter on the ankle is that making me feel unstable? Was it the season ending injury last year? Did that give me the yips? I sure hope not as I’m all rehabbed and stronger than ever before.

I sure hope this goes away I’m dying to have my tricks back.

Theres a few reasons I can come up with.

- Its early season. You havent used those muscles in a while.Takes a bit to work the muscle memory.

- You grossly inflated your expectations. Watching someone throw down is easy and bragging about that person throwing down is easier. Once you clicked into you skis, you realise you overshot your goals.

- Skiing is hard?

- go ski

Idk, I didn't have any injury or gear change and I felt very uncomfortable on skis first day out. Just try not to think about it and keep going skiing

idk about you but i'm a little biiiiiiiitch about new gear, it almost makes me look like i'm not the best skier in history when i first ski new gear

it'll come back to ya, don't worry

Don’t worry man im skiing like garbage rn too.

Unless I should also be worried idk lol, maybe we lost it
