Hey folks,

I had kind of intended to make this thread last year, when I was still deciding which university I wanted to go to, but I never got around to it.

I went out east to get a feel for the prospective schools, and checked out Dal and Acadia. I really dug the small town vibe in Wolfville and was stoked on Acadia in general. Eventually though, I went with McGill because I had basically decided that if I got in here, I'd go. So as such, I'm starting out on my university career here in Montreal.

Thing is, I find myself wondering what it would have been like if I'd gone to Acadia, which was basically my second choice. I got a tour of the campus from the son of an acquaintance of my dad's and the kid did a good job, but he was painfully nerdy and didn't really describe the party scene or like what people did for fun, y'know? I didn't really get the perspective of someone who was more my type.

So I am now retroactively turning to you. Does anyone go there, or have any insight into what freshman/undergrad life is like at Acadia? What are chicks like there?(The day I toured campus I literally did not see one hot girl. I know that sounds shallow but it IS a deciding factor.) Is there skiing to be done there? I know Wentworth is within range, but does anyone ski urban around Wolfvile?

Thanks for any and all insight, it's much appreciated.

Sam

Might not be helpful, but I'm going to Dal and I love it here. Insane parties, awesome people, quite a few skiers, and amazing campus. My friend goes to Acadia (2nd year) and he loves it! I haven't heard about the dorm parties over there, but they had a keg at their house recently and he partied hard first year. What's McGill like? I heard it's crazy over there.

No worries man, that helps thanks. I was stoked on Dal too, it seemed like it'd be an awesome place to go to school. (If you happen to know a Greek dude named Dimitrios from Vancouver, tell him I say hi. lol.)

McGill's rad for sure. In a way it's too big for me, kind of impersonal and hard to get to know people, but I'm shy like that too so that's just me. Clubbing is not my jam at all, but being able to go to bars legally is a godsend. Dope place to go to school no doubt.
