Awkward concerts?

Ok, I feel like verytime I'm at a concert or watching a concert that everyone is totally awkward and uncomfortable. Almost everyone is standing up, tapping their toes/feet to the rythem/beat, shaking their bodies/head jerks. these movements just look and feel awkward, cuz i always wanna go crazy and fuckin dance and shit but everyones being a stiffy, when everyone actually wants to pull some woodstock shit and get down to the music. I'm not saying all concerts are awkward, just that a ifeel a lot of the time i want to do more than bob my head a little. I was watching a kings of leon concert on tv and all the people their were dancing and going crazy and shit, but watched another concert wit hsome band that i forgot the name and everyone was doing the same old head bob/ foot tap, if this is probly the only time your gonna hear one of your favorite bands live why not go crazy instead of acting as if your listening to them on your computer? So, does everyone feel this way about concerts cuz I've been asking this question for years.

Sparknotes: i wanna dance my ass off at live concerts but everyone else does the same old head bob/foot tap. Do you wanna dance your ass off?

yeah haha, at a RHCP concert a few years ago told me to sit down, and that they couldnt see, I said stand up, and shut up

haha i've had that before, with like smaller less known bands everyone sits down and is fucking lame but the music is sick and you just wanna stand up and go crazy...pretty awkward to be the only one there dancing tho

hahha i know exactly what you are talking about. and im guilty of the head bob, but mostly cuz i usually just smoked a blunt haha

frig man, the concerts i go to, everyone goes nuts, you're punched up against everyone and youre the only person whose not drugged out. its fucking amazing. electronic concerts are unreal. bands are cool, but i find nothing equals the vibe when you get when you're getting bottle shots from a baller dj, standing on his platform.

alright, well Streetlight Manifesto/Reel Big Fish was fucking nuts... and i was sober...

uhh, State radio is really a blurr... i officially don't like brownies

Umphreys Mcgee was dirty, i was bombed and was just dancing with all the hippies in the crowd

I just groove to the music. Let the sounds control your body, who cares what other people are doing. Concerts are about having fun, so get out and dance your ass off!
" so girl get up to dance you know what to do, don't be shy, this is why you came out here tonight so let loose" - The Expendables

or you could go to a metal show and there will be garenteed to be a lot of movement. Mostly consisting of sweaty dudes pushing each other around and beating the shit out of each other.

You should go to a Rage Against the Machine concert, there's so much energy it's impossible not to go fucking crazy.

just start goin all Woodstock and everyone else around you will start goin all Woodstock, then you'll have the whole damn crowd goin all Woodstock. trust me- it's a tested formula.

ahhh dude im jealous! i love those bands but i havent seen them live yet!! and to steeze_alex, i love that song... im going to see the expendables with 311 and ziggy marley in june

hahahaha

i was at a local venue once, and it was a HxC band playing, so of course kiids were hardcore dancing, and this kiid accidently hit a kid in the back of the head, so the kid turns around, and punches the dude in the face...

The HxC dancer windmill kicks into the kids friends, and they get pissed off and start fighting, so they are dragged out, and basically everyone leaves to go outside (35-50 kids)

I stay inside, and just as everyone leaves, the band announces they have a new song they created, only to realize everyones gone... they kinda stood around a bit, trying to figure out what to do, and then just launched into it

Back in the day there was a Streetlight/RBF/Forces of Evil/Suburban Legends/Aquabats/Save Ferris(It might acctually have been Starpool, I'm not sure if they had changed singers yet), and a bunch of other awesome SoCal ska bands. It was a beneft show for someone in Suburban Legends, not the guy that got killed on his motorcycle though it was before that. Basically fucking nuts I'll never see a ska show like that again.

If I could see BOTAR my life would be complete.

dude go to some jam concerts and eat some rolls or molly and ull never have this problem again. at most of the shows i go to we have to move so we have enough space to dance. its all about just jammin all night and dancing with all the people around you.

My concert history : One concert : the Faint

we rolled up, and there was the old head bob. it was some opening band called the crocodiles.. they chomped the big wang. actually it was so bad there wasn't even any beat to head bob to. anyways..

then more ppl started rocking up.. then the faint came on and shit went off... also i was surrounded by about 10 ppl i knew.. we all went together, i would def recomend pulling together a bunch of ppl to come go nuts with you that you know... its way easier to get loose.

i'd also recomend seeing the faint if they are near you. the concert was like their songs times 4, and everyone in their was loving it.

i know what your saying it sucks but kings of leon put on the fuckin most kick ass concerts. everyone goes nuts. so fun i want to see them again
