This looks like a pretty cool piece.

From the first paragraph though, it says it's a gaming laptop, but the graphics card isn't very good. Other than that, I really like the design! The placement of the touchpad, along with the fact that it is an LCD screen has me hoping that a feature like this pops up in more laptops. The custom buttons above the touchpad are pretty neat as well, and I love that each one is a tiny screen itself.

You won't find me buying this, but the neat features that this device brings to the table are certainly worth talking about.

I dig the trackpad/ minilcd placement, and the buttons you can set as apps, which also have mini lcds in them haha. But I dont use my computer for gaming i have a Xbox for that.

A cool gamer laptop. Definitely a step up for the PC market, but the price ($2,799) seems a bit steep. The LCD touchpad and buttons looks interesting, but also gimmicky.

It does seeing too expensive considering the hardware. The graphics are decent, but if you're breaking the bank on a gaming computer, you want more than decent. For the prices, it should also have a solid state hdd instead of a relatively small disk drive. The CPU and ram are sufficient, but it seems like you'd be paying for the form factor more than anything.

Nor was the call to kit it with a paltry 320GB of rotational storage. Razer would rectify the latter in December, promising 256GB SSDs for all -- a concession that would push shipments back, well, until now.

i really cant help but laugh at the fact that they compare it to a macbook pro, a laptop that everyone knows is definitely NOT for gaming (and gamer nerds hate on mac users) and in many categories the mac either comes second to this beast (still above all other manufacturers) or wins.

Why people spend fortunes to try and cram gaming functionality into a laptop which, in addition to being expensive. usually kills the principal function of a laptop, when they could for much less money have a much nicer gaming machine in a desktop. Do you really need to be able to play the latest games while you're on the plane? Horses for courses. Its like trying sharpening the hell out of the edges on a spat so you can try and use it to carve groomers as well. WTF ??????

Yeah, I could build an awesome gaming rig, and buy a MacBook for the price that they are asking for this thing. I would never ever want to get a gaming laptop!

The hot keys are sick but the track pad placement would bother me but I guess for gaming it's cool. They said in the article it would be cool if the track pad ran android os which seems like it would work better. Cool to see some innovation though

Does sound mad expensive. I would rather buy a cheaper laptop + a new pair of skis if you were to ask me

So you can buy a limited system, and ANOTHER limited system?

Seems to be a winning combo there.

Id personally buy a MBP for personal use, and then a Linux/windows dual boot for work. (Network Security)
