What kind of computer do you have? If you have a good computer that will be able to run Avid, I would say go get it cause its free. If your computer isnt good, then you wont be able to do anything with it
Avis is what is used for film as well as tv production...it is without a doubt, the best editing software...There is a lot of features...what version can you get...
Avid is the best, but takes a while to learn. The whole point of avid is to never use the mouse and be as quick as possible with keyboarding everything.
Avid is tedious. it takes about three times as many clicks in avid to do the same thing with one click in FCP.
Unless you're trying to edit online .35mm film or uncompressed HD, premiere is probably adequate for your needs and definately a lot user friendly and easier to learn.
u dont know how to use it... once you learn avid you barely touch the mouse... i still like FCP and Adobs layout more, but avid is quicker once you learn it.
