Avi gear

Hey guys,

Anyone know of a place in the general Seattle area that rents out avi beacons? Or maybe someone who is selling one for cheap?

Going on some hiking trips in may and need one asap.

Thanks!

You can borrow mine if you send me a video proving you actually know how to use it. Course I don't think Id trust a female to be able to dig my ass out anyways~

I understand sense you don't know me and you never know how good a girl is till you ride with her but I am an instructor up at crystal and work with ski patrol on my days not instructing. I'd borrow gear from them but they will be with me... soo yeah. I have taken back country classes and know my shit.

You know your shit because you help ski patrol put poles in the ground? Is that supposed to be probing practice or something? Let your boyfriend do the probing, stay at home so nobody gets killed~

It's funny because you took up skiing just because it gave you an excuse to put a mask on and trick boys into thinking you're pretty~

You know, I think most guys don't have high standards of intelligence when it comes to women for obvious reasons, but they should all ask one question.

How do you spell "truly"?

Didn't know I was writing an English essay to be graded on spelling. Anyways, thanks for the hate, I'll find avi gear some place else.

Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes for her to post here again? 10 minutes or 6 months are my guesses. Hopefully 6 months~

someone once told me REI rents them out (I don't know for sure) and this outdoor place named Feathered Friends does as well.

If i were you i would just buy one, you will most likely get plenty of use out of it if you ski alot and hike. Also you will become really good at using the one you buy. I know rei and evo sell them and rei might rent them out but im not sure.

Alright thanks! Ya I am just going to buy one. It will be worth it in the long run. Have any of you cllimbed up paradise yet this spring?

Having your own stuff is great peace of mind.
As you're looking for one, steer clear of used beacons. They're like climbing gear: used to potentially save your life, and you never know what might have happened to it while someone else was the owner.

How much dense, wet, compacted snow can you move in ten minutes? How far can you can carry a 180 lb guy with a broken leg, and 20 lbs of gear?

Might be a reason I would rather not go into the back country with only girls as partners. Your skiing ability has nothing to do with your usefulness in a emergency situation in the back country?

And being a ski instructor only means you analyze your turns way to much, it does not mean you can ski worth shit.
