Avalanches are scary

Heres some first hand avalanche experience. My buddy jake is the snowboarder, im next to the filmer yelling "where's brian"

This is right outside Brighton resort in a really popular slack country area that is frequented by hundreds of people every day, most with little to no avalanche knowledge or training. (earlier in the day someone asked me if my beacon was a bomb and if I was doing my own control work...)

All in video had beacon/shovels/probe and spend a considerable amount of time in the backcountry. No one injured.

he wasnt the first to hit the cliff either. Our other buddy sent it 1-2 minutes before and nothing hinted at instability. be careful out there

I feel like if you didn't have a camera that zooms in yiu would have been a lot closer and got buried.

I was patrolling top of Milly that day. If I remember correctly, it was a very high avalanche day, and we were telling people to stay out of Mary's all day. You guys were being dumb, but at least you got lucky.

I didn't even see the two people under the cliff till the slow mo. They are very lucky they were so close to that wall.

Glad none of you got hurt.

Im not saying we were smart or dumb, im putting the video out there to make your own judgement and to show that slopes that seem safe and anchored can still be hazards. its was considerable on N facing aspects that day. And we learned from it. Thank you for all you do brighton Patroller you guys kill it

Find a new place to ride, please.

experienced bc enthusiatist w/ considerable amounts of experience wouldn't have multiple ,waiting to be statistics, standing below or anywhere near the runout zone of a loaded cliff face on a green light day, let alone considerable

you and your clueless possses are the reason why the uac changed from "know before you go" information to needing to "keep you on top" and has been dumbed down to the point of hysteria videos.
