I know that this might be a touchy subject because of events of late, but i thought i should share. I was caught in a small slide yesterday because of a bad decision i made yesterday. I was not hurt but i got taken for a ride in about 5 feet of snow, in a very narrow chute. Please take care out there

haha well having JUST walked in the door from my onhill avalanche course stuff, just from what i've learned in my class, a little heads up when you're skiing backcountry is to check the snow you're going to be skiing with.. just grab handfulls of snow deep down in a bank and see what the conditions are like. if ya have time,make a snow pit :) and if you're in an avi, try to get to the outside, or try to swim.

itd be kinda hard to have that kinda thinking ability when ur being taken in an avalanche.

yeah i imagine it would be cause of all the chaos goin on.. but thats how most intense situations are.
