does anyone have a beacon i can borrow for a week? I leave for Bridger on Thursday and you need one for the Sloshmans lift. I'll can even pay to rent it from you if you want...thanks homies,Jeff

Dont borrow beacons bud. If you are serious about needing a beacon for the terrain your putting yourself in, you should be serious enough to be able to purchase one. If your headed to Bozeman head to either World Boards off Main st. or a store called Northern Lights.
Its one of those things that its good to be responsible to own one, and know how to be able to operate it. Your buddy who would get stuck in the slide would have to agree as well

I would agree 100%... except the only reason slushmans is really avy beacon only is to keep beginners out.. so you could get by using someone else beacon (but be sure you know how to use it...they can be a bit trickier than they first seem)-

not sure about the world boards selling beacons but Northern lights definitely will, as well as the roundhouse - if you know anybody at MSU they can rent them from the barn for like $5 a day...

the whole basis of what i was getting at is that its important to know how you use your own equipment. If ya havent owned your owned beacon you will be pumped on the day you do. I know all about Slushmans, and even a 30 degree slope could slide in the right conditions, but its most important to get that knowledge dialed in so you are smart and confident, and able to have fun.
Get after it and have fun out there!

Plus there is so much knarly terrain that is in bounds at bridger that you dont really need one, last year when I went into slushman's it was the longest wait in the lift line that I waited the whole trip,
P.S. Dont rent beacons if you do and a buddy gets buried you will be shitting your pants..

really when i went last year the skiing was amazing and there were no lines...
anyway I have one myself but I want to bring a few of the advanced skiers in my group up one at a time and would be educating them on how to use it first!
