Avalanche and phone

So much avalanche terrain doesn't have a cellular signal to begin with, burry yourself underneath an insultator and you have even less.

Probabbly about as useful as the Recco stuff, just to find you after youre dead.
 
First of all...

wow.

seriously....

wow.

Second, when you are in avalanche terrain make sure to keep your cell phone off because it messes with the signal of your beacon and will make it difficult to find you under the snow.
 
Yeah.... i bought this book called "Snowstruck" and it's totally made me aware that there i sooo much more involved than just goin out. its interesting.

e)Repeat a-d (w/o buying a new beacon)

f)Leanr to read slopes

g)Go with expierenced peoples, and talk to patrollers

i)NEVER GO ALONE

j) enjoy BC
 
snow sampling... just don't eat the yellow snow.

It's when you make a snow pit and do tests like checking the probability of a slab breaking loose, checking snow consistancy, etc.
