whats up im 19. i was diagnosed with psoriatic spondylitis a few months ago. i was wondering does anyone else have a disease or anything? this started up random junior year for me. anyways hows life for you guys? take meds? hows school? can you focus? can you sleep? i just want to go ski! i cant feel pain when im flying down the mountain with my adrenaline pumping through my body. anyone feel me?

One kid in teh LM cult was bitching about it, and that's all I've heard.
From what I gathered in my research on it when I heard of it, is that you should take yoga, no strenuous high-impact excercise (such as running, skiing, it sucks, I know), and eating WELL.
Also, take up rock climbing for good excercise that won't kill you.
Basically, you're an HIV patient without the dying part. Think of it as a good excuse to live a completely healthy life. It sucks that you're gonna have to quit skiing if it gets too bad, but you should definitely enjoy the time you have left to ski, and make sure you keep up with a healthy lifestyle. It'll extend the amount of time you can ski.
Also, I've heard that spondyloarthritis gets alot better in your later twenties, cuz it's mostly a juvenile disease so be hopeful.

hey arabian, thanks for the advice it was pretty sound. thats what im working on. mood and positivity have been really important. ive been communicating by phone with doctors and i have an appointment on the 23rd, of vaca! they started me on 3 meds and i slept so much, didnt go to one class, now im just trying to climb back up to where i was, physically and academically.

Oh! I forgot -
Get a book on natural cures. My mom has a huge fucking book full of not holistic remedies, but plants and things you can take to help you out. It really does work, and 90% of the time it does just as the painkillers.
