"Riots" LOL. They're a bunch of privileged assholes who have finally faced a slight sense of adversity in their life so now they're acting out like spoiled children.

Would you not also endeavor to resist that adversity if it was being deliberately imposed by a government and not caused by unchangeable circumstances?

It's extremely concerning what is happening in parts of Australia. That is the direction other countries are headed if they decide to double down on authoritarian covid policies.

In addition to the link below I was reading a few days ago that restrictions in Australia are non-uniform. Similar to how the US half assed it in red states, except Australia is suuuuuuper restrictive with their shit in the cities/states that are restricted still.

I'm guessing a majority are dickheads trying to get attention by blatantly breaking temporary laws in front of officers. Its no different than a woman in town who has gotten arrested multiple times during the initial COVID lockdown for playing on closed off playgrounds and refusing to leave when an officer notices.

Classic Streisand effect… Is the goal with all this to achieve moral superiority over people who are unvaccinated, or is the goal to stop the spread of the virus?

If they actually wanted the conspiracy theorists to take the vaccine, they wouldn’t be proving their case that the gov is out of control by literally making it illegal to go outside (remember when they arrested that dude for paddle boarding by himself in CA? It’s absurd!).

Right or wrong, by arresting people in this way, they inspire more protests and increase spread for anyone who comes in contact with either a cop or a protestor after the fact.

It’s almost like there are some problems that can’t be solved by government sponsored violence…

There was a pretty big protests a few weeks ago and the construction union was basically demolished by angry construction workers in Melbourne. Seeing that they are forcing people to stay in, do they compensate any of the laborers?

Are construction workers privilaged or are congress llc members who grift off our labor and corporate lobby money; and reporters who literally read a script who have been getting paid millions telling people to stay home who do not get compensated, priviliged?

Can a white ginger be privileged? Yes, Ginger privilege is a real concern these days.

I don't know but there is a video, which was banend on twitter showing the inside of AUS Covid camp and they test you several times a day for 14 days and this 25 year old was getting pissed because they kept him an extra day even though he tested negative and the security told him they would gas him to sleep if he didn't keep quite. They left him in the camp for 11 more days. The camp's security is very disturbing, I'll say that.

Also, AUS is using private contrators who are pretending to be police to quell the growing protests.

I can't find it now, it was on twitter a month or so ago. Search, maybe on youtube with upload date filter, 'Inside covid AUS camp,' some guy was recording himself in another room easedropping on the ordeal.

Interesting. With zero context about that incident I have some questions.

-What does gas mean? Some sort of sedative the country is using to prevent needing to be up close and personal with patients? Or is he talking about pepper spray? Or what? That dude was going absolute bananas

-Why was that guy's quarantine extended? Most plausible explanation would be he tested positive. But again zero context.

The quarantine camps are either in camps or hotels (this was a hotel) and are for people entering the country. People living in Australia who get covid or are exposed aren't being shipped off; they're staying in their own homes.
 
Also will add I found that tests are on days 1,7, and 12. Testing multiple times a day is illogical, wasteful, and not happening.

For being quarantined? Why should they? It's a personal choice to enter a country. They have no obligation to do that. They're providing them with housing and food for 2 weeks so consider that compensation.
