August/september skiing

i'm writing something and i need some info... are there any places in colorado (preferably not over 2 hours from boulder) where you can hike for some turns in august and september? give as much info as you can.

st marys glacier exit is right past idaho springs on the way up I70. then its a 20 minute drive up that road to the parking lot. something around that

ugh i skied today in utah at snowbird, def. not worth all the crazy hiking and the heat, damn that was too much work but who else can say they skied in practically september

This needs to be addressed, since some people (jeff) post half truths. Know what back-ordered means before you post it. Line's are not back-ordered. They relocated to a new factory in China, which is causing some shipping delays. The skis will still be in before you can go skiing. And if you wanted to take new skis up to St. Mary's, you're just asking for something bad to happen.

I have been up to St. Mary's 4 times since June. There is still a 10' double barrel and 10' box up there.

Some may say that it is not worth the hike, but in my opinion some skiing is better than no skiing.
