i heard a rumor recently that they broke up....can anyone confirm or deny this? cuz that would be shitty in my book.

I don't. It's uninspired, half-assed bullshit in my opinion. Chris Cornell used to have balls (RUSTY CAGE ANYONE?) and the band used to have an edge. Now they make watered down songs with choruses like "Be yourself is all that you can do."

Lame.

But if you like them, more power to you.

Rage was cool. Soundgarden was fucking revolutionary. Audioslave is bland.

Tom Morello is a total bad ass and he def. contributes the most to the band. Chris Cornell used to fucking unleash the fury on the mic and now he croons and moans and sighs like a fucking bitch.

I'll quote Rollins on this one: "So many bands go on with their career and they "progress," which means their albums sssssssssuck."
