Audiophiles...Home Theater Advice SPEAKERS

So I'm going to be hooking up a 6.1 speaker system for my living room, and I was looking for some advice. I am steering clear of any Bose systems, or other Home Theaters in a Box.

Any recommendations for speakers, subs, and receivers?

And I can only find headphone forums, not dedicated home theater forums that are actually helpful, so if any of you know of those that would be great too. Thanks.

How much money do you want to spend? You could spend $500 or $50,000. We need to know before we can help you out.

you could build a great setup for under 500 (assuming you already have a receiver)

way more rewarding to listen to speakers you built yourself, and if you do a half decent job theyll sound 100x better than some bose bullshit...although you already seem to understand that bose is shit

Haha as much as I would like to build them, I don't really have the time. But maybe that could be a little side project. I'm looking at Boston Acoustics soundware series speakers for the inside and voyager series for out by the pool/deck. anybody have any experience with these?

So I have done my own research and came out with the following setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(1)Velodyne Impact 12 Subwoofer

(2) Boston Acoustics Voyager 50 Outdoor Speakers (pool/deck)

(1) Boston Acoustics A 225C Center Channel

(5) Boston Acoustics SoundWare S Satellite Speakers

(1) Yamaha RX-V673 AV Receiver
