Audiobooks

I have to drive 12 hours this weekend and I've run out of good books on tape for the car. I have a long list of books I want to read but most of them wouldn't be great to listen to, since in the car it's nice to have something less involved and more mindlessly entertaining where the specific language and sentence structure isn't itself a special and noteworthy aspect of the book. I recently listened to the Millennium trilogy and loved it, so something along those lines. I was thinking the Hunger Games but I read half of the first book and didn't get into it, but something action packed and easy listening like that.

Any suggestions?

I have no experience with Audiobooks; but, have you tried podcast? Hundreds of podcast out there, bound to be one that is easily listening for you and in the right genre. I dig the stand-up comedian podcast like the Joe Rogan Experience or the Duncan Trussel Family Hour. May not be literature but always lots of great knowledge and insight.

Game of Thrones are pretty entertaining, but if you've read any of the books, they get a little wordy. like a lot of "he wore a deep green tunic embroided with gold thread, with a proud the silver stag emblem, which was of course the symbol of his house"...yadayadayada.

His Dark Materials trilogy- It is a fantasy series where the church is the enemy and it compares kids demons to foreskin.

bartimaeus Trilogy- Great series with a clever narrator.

Both are insanely good

I'm currently listening to this.

Thanks, those would all be great. Unfortunately I've read all of those except the game of thrones series but I'm thinking I could maybe do Ender's game again. I don't think I've read that since like 7th grade
