Quick question +k for help..im filming a speech and need clear audio. They will talking into a microphone so how do you suggest that i like tie into the microphone audio or whatever so i can use it. I have no audio experience what so ever so any help works.

use a lavalier, they do a good job. good for getting your voice, and mainly your voice only

if you have a camera with xlr inputs or a audio recorder such as a Zoom h4n (the latter I'm guessing you don't have) then you can talk to whoever is managing sound and see if you can tap into the soundboard/mixer and essentially get the audio from the mic they're talking into. ... perhaps? I've never actually done this, I'm just basing this off the very little I somewhat know about audio.
but ya, if you don't have means to do that then I suggest picking up a lavalier mic like the person above me suggested. If you have a shotgun mic then that might get the job done as well depending on the situation.

well im filming with a ag-hmc40 and we do have the xlr attachment so how would i do that like tap into the soundboard or mixer

I believe it should have an xlr out and then you can run a cable from that to your xlr in on your camera. However that will keep you restricted to the general area of the soundboard if you don't have another camera.
again, I don't really know this for sure as I've never done it myself.
