Audio editing software

Im looking for some kind of shareware, hopefully free, that can just cut different audio files at different points that i choose. Obviously im making a power hour mix, i just dont know what software to use. Thanks.

I think Audacity is highly rated for shareware software. Google it, it definitely does the trick.
