Well let me tell you what the new owners are like first hand, i have worked with them for the last five years at Boston Mills/ Brandywine ski resort between cleveland and akron, Ohio. They are horrible for freestyle skiers. They had a "family resort" philosphy here which was horrid. They are Extremely strict on rules too, they will revoke a season pass for the tiniest shit like throwing a snowball or hitting jumps without spotters or trying to fix transitions to rails because of liability. of Course you have to get caught first. They are not into comps at all, we have one once a year with prizes being trophies, and raffle off a snowboard and a pair of skis. They are extremely scared off being sued and it shows, anything aggressive gets shut down due to "liablility issues" The two owners that are in place at attitash are married with the wife being an heir with her brothers to Peak Resorts. The only thing you got going for you is that Peak resorts has never owned and operated resorts this big so they are probably going to keep the same personel to help they operate such big resorts, these owners are also supposed to look over Mt. Snow too. Since Peak Resorts bought them that is why you get cut out off all the ASC resorts, its really only a benefit to passholders in the midwest and PA because know there is a legit Resort in the East we get discounts on.
