ATTENTION anyone in mt hood feb 09

hello everyone in internetland,

ok basically I am from England and I am goin to the US this winter to do a trip from tahoe to banff via whistler on the train/bus, staying with friends living there for the winter.

En route is Mt hood and I have always wanted to go and it would suck to just cruise right past it. So I was wondering if anyone on here who will be in mt hood/timberline this winter would fancy taking me skiing for a few days mid february (not sure of dates yet). I can sort accomodation out but I dont wanna go skiing by myself and I dont know anyone in the area.

Someone PLEASE reply, I really wanna ski hood

errrrr... tahoe to whistler to hood to banff?

hope you know that is about 500 hours on a bus, if that is how you are doing it.

and hood is not on the way to banff from Whistler, far from it, plus 2 border crossings.

good luck though.
 
ya dude and on hood it usually dumps all the way up until february then get a warm front or two during february then stops and dumps again, so you might not have the best weather...
 
If you really wanna ski with some people while your at hood go to mt. hood meadows

way more kids from newschoolers are there. Tline's park is good but i feel there is more people at meadows. I'll be up there all winter and same with my friends.
Choose meadows.
 
I have put a bit of thought into this, reno to portland is the worst stretch, overnight train 20 hours or so, but from portland to vancouver is only 6 hours on the train, then whistler to banff isnt too far.

cheers guys, i guess i will just cruise up the mountain and meet some mofos, i will prob try and hit timberline and meadows but not sure of distance between them and accomodation etc.
