Attack vs Warden which one?

I know this should be in gear talk but I’d like to get quick answers so I’m posting it here. I need to get new bindings and the wardens and attack’s are the same price. The guy at the shop recommended the wardens but I’ve heard good things about the attacks, which one should I get and why?
 
Given the very little amount of information you've given (read - none), it's hard to tell you other than just giving my general thoughts:

I like the way the Attacks lock in better than the Wardens. The Warden is a lower tier binding, while the Attack is more mid-ranged. I also don't think the Wardens are as tested at the Attacks are right now. The STH is way more tried and true than the Warden is right now, so if you're looking to go with Salomon, go with the STH, otherwise go with the Attack.

There are 2 levels of Warden bindings- the 11 and the 13. The 11 is the lower end construction, lower DIN value, that is also not Multi-Norm Certified (only fits alpine boots). The 13 is the higher end construction, higher DIN value, that is Multi-Norm Certified (fits all normed boot soles). The 13 also shares the exact heel and internals of the STH2 13.

The only reason you should consider the Warden 13 over the STH2 13 is the type of boot(s) you have. If you have normal ski boots, either binding will work for you. But if you have rubber soled touring boots or Grip Walk boots, then the Warden is the only option to consider.

I'm in the same situation so I'll ask: what's the difference in toe pieces then? The sth13 has the driver toe and I don't know much about warden 13. Lower tier compared to the sth toepiece? I was either going to buy sth13s or attack 13s, since I assumed the sths were better than wardens. I have normal boots.

nerdy can probably say more to this point, but the warden toe has less stated elasticity than the STH (30 mm vs. 52 mm).

Also a slightly higher stack height (21 mm vs. 18.5 mm).

That said, I ski wardens all the time since I switch between all different boot soles, and I find no issue with them. But if they're coming in near the same price, and you only ski in alpine boots, I'd say go STH since there's no benefit of the warden if you're only using alpine (or WTR with the STH2) boots.

Because the STH2 doesn't utilize a sliding AFD, it has a slightly lower stack height. In terms of skiing performance, I agree with Luke- I can't tell a difference honestly. I have a mix of X-14, STH, STH2, and Warden bindings and they all ski the same to me- or at least I can't feel any negative attributes coming from one vs the other.

The Warden's only real reason to exist is its Multi-Norm Certification. It's not a lower end binding or anything like that, it's just our binding offer that accepts all normed soles. Some people like the way it looks vs. the STH toe piece, that it looks more "all mountain" (whatever the hell that means) but I've heard people say that. Aesthetics counts for something sometimes I guess.

Simple, short version: if you only use alpine boots, just get an STH2. If you have touring boots in your quiver that are ISO 9523, then get Warden 13s.
 
I'm really liking the Attack's and am still buying old model 13's because they're cheaper and I don't forsee leaving alpine soles anytime soon.

If I was planning to change boots anytime soon, I'd be looking at the Warden MNC.
