Attaching steel to supports

alright well my friends and i were looking at getting a big fat square steel rail or something to build a rail out of. what kind of supports and is it easy to attach it without welding (none of us have welding experience/supplies).

While Welding would obviously be the best choice, I think you could get away with bolting it together, so long as you put some metal sleeves through it to limit the play (like a short tube all the way through).

get a metal angle iron. It's just |_ and you just put it on a 2x4 and screw in through the side you're not grinding on and then build some supports. Works good. Here's a pic of a short 8 foot one i built like that.
