Attaching metal pipe to wood

you can do it a couple of ways. First off you can pre-drill holes and just bolt them on. What I would do though, is get some really strong(industrial shit) epoxy like JB Weld or PL-400 glue. Apply a good amount of the epoxy and just c-clamp the wood and the pipe together for a couple of days. Money!

try to pre drill up through the wood and pipe. then use a long self-tapping screw to go through them both.

make sure the threads on the screw are a good bit larger then the predrill in the pipe

okay what i did was took 2 metal pipes, about an inch and a half wide. (im making a shotgun rail) then i took a decent amount of wood screws, 40 to be safe, and predrilled holes on the insides and outsides of the rail. (make sure you pre-drill the holes on the outsides of the pipe with a bit that the screw head will fit through. then on the inside pre-drill holes make sure the holes are small enough that the head of the screw doesnt fit through.) hope this helps guys.
