Atrocious capeesh import fees

bought pants from them and they already had 50 canadian for shipping and just made me pay another 103 for import fees. I like capeesh but thats a 150 extra dollars just for shipping. kinda dissapointing.

honestly a little turned off by Capeesh. Had a shipping issue and reached out multiple times to have it corrected. No response from customer support. It is a cool brand but if you are going to commit to making a brand you gotta back it up with timely responses to your customers.

Gotta think about the size of the company, its not Oakley with 1,000 staff members. Small rider owned company, "customer support" is probably the same guy boxing up your order and taking it to the post office. just food for thought

Is this your first time shipping a package to CA from overseas? Wait until you buy a pair of skis from the US lmao, extra $200 on top of the order sometimes. Import fees have nothing to do with Capeesh at all, its the Government. The only way around import fees is to ask the shipper to tell the post office its a gift instead of an actual purchase from a company, but don’t be surprised if they say no because doing that is technically illegal.

Next time check out their free shipping options. If you spend 250 or more they ship for free. You might as well do that and get some extra product for the same price as paying for shipping!

I believe import fees are different than shipping fees.
 
That's what happens if you buy anything from outside Canada. Some shady brokerage company holds your items hostage. You have to just buy stuff that's already been imported.

5’8 size large, they’re mostly just long, also my first pair of actually baggy snow pants so I’ll get used to it

Im also 5‘8 and have a capeesh pant in size L. If you wear suspenders the length should be perfectly fine and will fit baggy. While skiing the pants always look less baggy than at home so just try it.
 
I hate to break it to u but uhhh Capeesh is past its prime g. Ever since the belts started snapping apart (the first drop) shit been goin downhill
 
i dont think i have much left to drop on suspenders but i tried belting it and they fit even better, thanks though, i'll see if i can go to the hill tmrw

Yeah depending on where you live you can ship it to a shipping depot in the US and then pick em up. I do it and it saves like yeah $100 cad. Or buy used not too sure how else to help.

Yeah same for arsenic which is kinda whack. A lot of other companies just declare declare their products as wholesale price (50% usually) so you have to pay half the import fees

Yeah same thing happened to me when I bought the belt. But it’s the government and customs that making up those fees not capeesh.

Yeah man, why don't all companies create false invoices with fake prices to help cheap and stupid assholes like yourself to commit crimes like tax evasion!?
 
honestly as a Canadian it really does suck but not much you can do. Some companies always seem to have import fees but I've been lucky before. I bought some stuff from kysen hall and roach online and there were no import fees. They also both shipped via usps not ups or fedex so idk if that makes a difference. Safest bet is to buy stuff from inside your country - Canada in both of our cases. For example, salmon arms make nice mitts. Never bought vulgus but looks like they make nice pants, belts, and some soft goods. Dstructure carries a bunch of stuff too. I noticed they started carrying arsenic recently. It can be a good idea to ask a company to declare the value as low as they legally can but you def don't want to ask anyone to break any laws. My shit got held up for ransom at canada post and after i paid way too much to get my stuff i asked the guy if there's any way around it. I asked about a PO box because I've never used one and was curious if I could save money that way. He said it wouldn't help and there's nothing you can realistically do.

ive never had to pay customs for arsenic until last time i bought so the first big strides drop, think customs is actually checking and making u pay for every package now

just do like the chinese, they deadass do not care. Ive seen huge boxes that weight 30kg come from china and not be caught because its a "gift" and marked as under 20 bucks
 
yeah, too bad i didn't know about them beforehand, but whats done is done, i dont plan on getting new pants anytime soon anyways. Dstructure got capeesh recently too, but since capeesh does drops its almost always sold out.
