Atomic Tweaks: WTF!

I'm dissapointed. The graphics for the Tweaks are basically the same as last year... god damnit... and no grind plate either... what's going on?

No, they acaully make some of the best skis on the market. People usually dislike Atomic becuase of their heavy race focus.

the tweaks weigh around a ton and are absoltutely un-ridedable on groomers. Just my opinion, i didnt like them. Maybe anyone else thinks of them as the lightest ski on the market and the best allroundtwins, but i dont.

Weight usually isn't a debateable issue...they are definitely a light ski. You probably have incredibly heavy bindings on them. You can't ride them on groomers? You can ride almost any ski on groomers, except the Prophets and the Spatulas I would imagine.

Atomic Tweaks-heavy? I don't think so. Maybe not the lightest twin on the market, but definately light. They ski well on groomers, and relatively well in a little bit of crud, and very nicely on rails and jumps. Halfpipe took some getting used to, but thats just cause they were longer than I was used to.

I liked the scratch fs better, but the tweaks are definately a sick ski.

wow who said rex was dumb? hahah idiot probably didnt realize who he was. ANYWAYS, yeah the tweaks are a great all mountain ski...rails, park, pipe, groomers, crud...even pow..i can ski pow in em. they need aggressive skiers...and i cant wait for the new non-tweak to be out. its gunna be great.

Stomps Were heavy as shit, but there isn't a mounting plate on them any more which makes them light as hell.

And as I've said in previous posts where somehow the original intent of the post has been turned into one of 'Atomic is Gay' I'll say it again.

Atomic's Race image.....yeah that's pretty gay

their skis.....that's deffinitely not gay

the skis are going to remain being sick and the image is going to be making a drastic turn for the better in the next few months. you can doubt my words if you wish, but that would be ill advised!

i quite injoyed demoing some tweeks and im quite sure that the season after this one there stuff is gunna blow our minds cuz there already great ski but people hate on them cuz of the racing image not nessicaraly fair but i also will tell u im not about to buy atomics. id rather support a cor company

I just got a pair of Sugar Daddy 'Pimp Editions' And they are sooo money. 193 with a full tail and much softer in the rear compared to previous Atomics. about the same specs as a Mothership and lighter than any other ski that size. Atomic has always been 'gay' in my mind too but they are actually coming around these days. just try them out and you'll see.

 
my buddy's got an old pair of the grey tweaks with s912ti's on em....... they're the lightest skis i've ever tried...........

idk about the new tweaks, but they look pretty good too.

I had the pleasure of riding tweaks for a day at Wolf Creek, belive me...that is an all mountain ski. you can literally ski anything on that ski, and they aren't gay. goodness, get the word gay out of ya'lls vocabulary. Say something like they are not a good ski company (which is false). Hey Rex, what's your handicap down to this year? I shot a 68 at Monte Vista a couple of weeks ago, got my handicap down to 3.2

Atomic by Look? Well here's the deal, they were supposed to have a new binding for this year, but as you all can understand, developing a binding is a very tedious job, and I basically told them that unless they could come up with something as light weight and functional as the Atomic by Look not to bother, and to just hook up with what is currently the best freeride binding company out there. Look. They're going to continue to develope a new binding and we'll see how that turns out in the next couple of years, but I recommended that they get the Atomic By Look into production for the public. Hopefully they listen to me about this one!

As for questions about the triplets, I can't give out any details yet, you guys just keep thinking about it. Some people are starting to figure some of the suprises out allready. Interesting!

Why are you all bitching about the graphics? If a ski rides really well, i dont care if the topsheet has one guy pounding another guy in the ass while tossing yet another guy's salad. Cover them in stickers if you dont like the graphics or paint them.

well I'm doing my best on the image front, I've been trying for 4 years now, and each year is a little better, hopefully this year is when we make the big move. Travis Redd and Tom Dolezel are rockin hard still, so we have some hope.

Lastemporer, even though I have a pair of Rossis, I have always loved atomic. Use their ski for racing and if I had an extra 100 bucks I was gonna get the Tweaks but you cant always get what you want... I'm depressed now...

OH OH OH and Aniah! I haven't seen anything about this guy except in Predator ads. I like his style. There's some other guys that are really good too on Atomic like Blair Fontana and Leif Zapf-Gilje. haha and the Chief.

right now im lookin into atomic and dynastar pro deals. the tweaks and stomps are hella sick but i wish they had kept the old colours (ie tweak-grey w/yellow writing stomp-yellow with grey writing)
