Atomic Triplet Urban - right position of the binding?

Hi All!

Yesterday I've got my Atomic Urban Ski :)

But the backpart of the binding is not exatly positioned to the center of the ski. (both skis) See the picture.

The binding goes to one side aprox. 1-1,5mm from the center.

Is this a mounting fault? or could it happen?

Do you think I should send back the ski?

Thank for help!

thats wierd. what it looks like to me is the front part of the hellpiece is in the center but the back part of it is a little to the right.

looks off too me. go back into the shop where you got them. those skis are symmetrical, so a remount in that direction isnt doable. you should be able to flip the ski and have them mounted reversed. act pissed, and say you missed a couple epic days of riding or something. then say youd like them at cost for their negligence. that should be roughly 50% of what you paid btw. then, go ride somewhere sweet with the newfound cash.

well salomn bindings suck so there but ya that is messed up but when u click ur boot in it should not be all messed up

i dont think it would be noticable at all and i think ud be doing more bad than good by taking them back to get remounted but if somehow they will give you a new ski then do it otherwise ull be fine

well r u talking about the new salomon binding or the old ones

the old ones suck the toe piece is shit i could twist my boot out of the binding, when i ride the lift i would shake my ski to get the snow off and the ski would move a hal inch back and forth, i had to crank my din up the whole way so i wouldnt pop out, and i had to get the bindings fixed at the shop at my mountain every weeek so ya salomon bindings suck (last years do and the ones from 2000 all suck) i dont know about the new bindings for this year because i havent used them and dont plan on using salomon bindings unless they were to sponsor me

glad it worked out for you man... I just mounted like 20 skies yesterday and if it isn't integrated, which of course yours isn't, then the medal template that you use should automatically center the holes on the ski. I'm boggled as to how the holes could be the right position in accordance w/ each other, but be offset to one side of the ski... maybe the tech had a bad template, only one of the side edge borders on the template sliding or something... then again I'm assuming the tech isn't a complete moron..
