Spark notes:

Got a pair of Atomic Thugs last week

All my other skis are center mounted and have always been

I let my shop guy talk me into mounting my Thugs back at "classic"

Now I'm pissed because I think they look fuckin weird

did i fuck up? where would you guys have mounted em

probably two inches. surprisingly, i don't own a tape measure.... its just marked "Classic" on the ski.

it pisses me off because i was dead set on ridin those bitches switch all the time in pow and he was like "dude, they're powder skis. dude. dude, they're powder skis. dude. dude. seriously"

and i gave in like a bitch....

what a tool

the shop guy made me mount my ar6s at recommended which wasnt so bad but he thought he knew everything, oh well they rip on groomers

dude id tell them to remount them at no charge since they made you do it. my friend has them at center he he likes em

if you have any interest in skiing properly, don't mount at true centre. they're not symmetrical so to do so would be to work against the design of the ski. halfway between centre and classic will be fine, but to be honest there's still a lot of tail at classic.;

ya but if he is planning on skiing switch as much as he says, then center or -1 is the only way to go

Bro, fuck all that shit...mount em where you waaaant!

I'm on the east with 192's center mounted slaying park like it's my day job.

These skis rip and no matter where you mount em, they'll charge for you. If you mount them center they will seem much shorter than they are which is a ton of fun! If I were you, I'd totally go back and get them to mount em center.

Have fuuuuuun!!!

personally i wouldnt center mount em...would only center a symmetrical ski or something like a hellbent. f
you're a specific case cause u know what u want, what u like, and what u dont want/like...
but for the sake of someone reading this thread in the future i would say go -2.5 from tru...this will allow u to kill the hard shit and park, and still be able to have fun in the pow. beyahhhhhhh

alot of times shops wont mount skis where "experts" like us think is the best place, only at the recommended like. if they do it could void the shops insurance if you get hurt on skis they mounted. just keep that in mind before you go back there and demand a remount... which you probably wont get since you DID say you caved in...

besides your thugs will be better at the "classic" mounting point anyways...
