i demoed a pair last weekend. In my opinion the sx:11 is some sickk equipment. They were pretty nasty on the steeps, but my fun didnt end there. Even though theyre heavy as hell, i got some pretty serious air. Im seriously considering buying them. But before i screw myself over again, tell me what you think. If you havent skied them, what ski would you recommend for really steep (mostly groomed) stuff? Im 6 feet tall, 140 pounds and can ski pretty much everything.

 
remeber they will be lighter if you buy them cause those demo bindings are tanks, so i say go for it if you liked them that much

^Not that much lighter, Atomic bindings are anchors, and they seem to break if you ski hard and like to jump.

yea me too..just makin sure. aight now all i hafta do is decide between 170 and 180. My size n stuff is listed in the first message. As for my ability, i can ski every trail on the mountain with speed as my top priority. Im 14 and have about 7 years hard experience. This said, id prolly go 180 hands down, but definately have sommore to learn in the moguls..rrr decisions decisions..im goin to pick up the skis tomorro so hook me up with some feedback!

 
I have not ridden them but because of your weight i would go 170, i know 3 heavier guys that dropped 20cm when they moved to these skis, and they all demoed the 180 but prefered the 170, all of them love the skis to death but not the atomic bindings. demo them if you can

aight guys thanks for the advice. i bought the 171s. i just have this funny feeling that the sales dude hooked me up with a crappy binding..i think it was an old 300series. now i have one last question..if i did get a shitty binding will it hinder my performance?

 
^The only time Atomic bindings hinder your performance is when they break, or slow you down cuz they're WAYYYYYY too heavy. I mean RIDICULOUSLY heavy. other than that, you're fine. They hold you and let you out as well as anything else, as long as the AFD doesn't break when you're landing jumps...
