i'm thinking about getting the stomp next year as an all around ski. i can get it right now for $475 including the bindings and shipping. i was just wondering if anyone can tell me how it skis, like how stiff it is compared to a stockli asteroid, or v-pro or explosive. also, has anyone had any expirence with the atomic bindings that come with them, or any atomic bindings for the matter? i'll that i've heard about atomic bindings is that they suck. thanks

dude - could you elaborate just a little bit more? like it is really heavy, or can it not carve, or what? also, what size is the twin on it?

well the ski is quite heavy yes but right in the middle not at the ends. they didn't turn at all.

and at high speeds it didn't feel comfortable.

the ski had very little camber making it very dead. the mounting position felt a bit akward i often got caught feeling like i was over the steering wheel.

Not one of my choices

well, they are really good park skis, the only problem is that as ski_bum said, tha middle is too heavy for the tips, so they shake at high speed.

But, when you are in the air, they are rellly great

I'm feeling greeaaaattt!!!!

the skis are sick, they hold an edge well and they are really good in pow, they are a lot like the pocket rocket but way stiffer as for the bindings they are really heavy youd be better off using another binding

well with the damn plate thing you have to use atomic bindings. is there a lighter atomic bindings i can get, or a different plate so i can put some rossignol or look bindings on them?

What the hell are you guys talking about? The stomp kicks ass! It's light weight, very responsive, sweet in powder, and it's a good park ski! The only time I find the skis 'shake' is when they're on that wet, clay type hardpack, but every ski will do that. And they love high speed! Maybe you weren't going fast enough or something, because since they're a powder ski they don't have a lot of shape, and you really need to get them cooking to feel the sidecut... or maybe you're just used to a different ski. Personally, I love my Stomps, and if you live in an area where there's powder and park, Stomps might be for you! I would say, demo a few different types of skis first, then make your decision.
