FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Atomic USA is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Benchetler to its team of athletes. Chris is a world renowned skier, who over the past several years has established himself as one of the most innovative and hard working athletes of our time. He has been featured in several magazines and feature length ski films including garnering the closing segments of both Warren Miller’s Playground and Poor Boyz Production’s Yeah Dude. He can also be seen on the cover of the current Photo Annual Issue of Powder Magazine.

When asked about why he chose to sign with Atomic, Chris said “I have been in the industry for a few years now, and the opportunity to be one of the primary international spokesmen for a leading ski company is something you just can’t pass up. Atomic is well known for creating the most technologically advanced ski equipment and I have the opportunity to be an integral part of the design process for a new ski, sharing my passion for skiing, and new technology.”

Atomic USA Marketing Director Jordan Judd adds “I am ecstatic to have Chris join us. He brings a fresh approach and style to skiing that will add huge value to our program. He is a true professional and a hard worker and I am stoked to have him involved with our company both on the athlete side, where he will be traveling the world gathering amazing imagery, and on the product development side, where he will help us continue to develop the world’s highest performance skiing products.”

k2 and this is so sick. Atomic definitely has one of the better teams now! I guess this means they will probably be coming out with a rockered ski now?

Not a fan of atomic, just passing the word...

It's lame that they would drop Ced and Charley in exchange for Chris

Weaksauce in my opinion.

why should u stay on k2 if u get more money somewhere else?and can bring more input on the skis...

or the making of skis...thats by far one of the best things a pro skier can get...

Atomic will have some hellbent-esque ski soon with benchelter? haha

They actually dropped ced and charley for him? That's real weak, couldnt they just added him?

stoked for benchetler to be on the team...and they didn't really drop all the canadians, what they did was give them to the canadian marketing guys...who are fucking retarded so i dunno whats going to happen

I dont know about what is going on with Charley but I wasnt really dropped, the internationnal pro and amateur team as it used to be is no more.

The local guyz are supposed to take care of the canadian riders.

We'll see what happen next.

charley is the best! who else zero spins a 13ft bomb drop while smoking a cigarette!? the man

charley is crazy good, i hope he didn't get dropped, that would just be a crime especially after his 180 madness in PNW.

yeah,....they've only got the best race ski line up out there. Their twins are getting better all the time, prob the lightest I've ever skiied

that gay if they really dropped Ced, i dont think he was asking that much from atomic and deserved lot more in my mind. This guys have been killing it for so many years and had almost nothing. prop ced , hope u get something good in the future.

Not impressed with there actions at all I have lost all respect for Atomic no offence to Chris or TIm but they are no Charley Ager. Some lucky team will pick up Charley

LAME you need to be on a company that will give you a pro model and send you places to ski everyday of the year so you can post all of your videos on NS.

ive always hated atomic ever since i went through 4 pairs in one season when i was like 14. i wish he went to an independent company, but then again i think everyone should go to an independent

seems like a very very strange decision for Chris Benchetler. All I can imagine is Atomic either offered him a significantly higher amount of money than K2 or unlimited pro ski options. Sucks that K2 lost him; they were stacked.

as if every comapny isnt gonna come out with a rockered ski now anyways...in reality volant did it first with the saptula haha, jsut not nearly as sick as the hellbent, and now people see how dpe it is
