what up all....

Lookin at the 2010 Atomic punx. Has anyone had the chance to ski them yet, or maybe the 09punx? Can't really find any solid reviews on any models, unless i'm a complete idiot and became google illiterate overnight.

I ski 85% park, and the rest i ski everything else.

its a solid durable symmetrical park ski.

fairly stiff, but not too stiff. if u like noodles, this ski is not for you.

good for rails, since its symmetrical.

only skid it for 1/2 day, but felt allright.

quite playfull and initiates turns easily.

really a good ski.

I'm too lazy to retype so here was another post on the 2010 punx from october:
I haven't tested punx, but i may have some valuable information for you. I have my 2010's ready to be picked up from the shop 10/2 so I've done my fair share of research on them. They are a medium-flex ski, (quite similar to the ar6 in that respect) which is symmetrical and primarily focused on usage in the park. I talked to a user on here named rYb who was a tremendous help, and he had skied the 09s/10s. He said that although they were primarily a park ski, they still ripped it on groomers, (crud not so much) and he actually did a couple high school races with them mounted center. How heavy are you? rYb said that if you are my weight (100-125ish pounds) you're going to have to put a decent amount of weight into them to butter, but they are still capable. Just send a message to rYb and he should be a great guide on whether you want them or not. peacceeeeeeee

i ride ar6, but tried th punx here in nz in a length way too short for me, and loved them. im gettin me a pair. they had the best edge hold ive felt on a twin, carve and ride so smooth and easy, killer in switch because of the sidecut, and are really playful. id say they had a slightly stiffer flex than my ar6, but would still call it a medium flex. hope this helps

Stiff? For me the Atomic Punx was definitely not a stiff ski. A fun softer ski and does awesome on rails and lands solid on jumps.

I'm with him. I would not call the Punx a stiff ski. They are more on the softer size. Still can kill it at jumps, but definitely a playful, fun ski.

i didnt say they were a stiff ski, i guess its preferences. im used to softer skis, and am not that heavy, so i guess that is why i thought it was a tad stiff. but its true, its in no way a stiff ski.

and as i spoke to jossi wells i asked him about the ski, and basically what he said was, that the ski is relatively stiff, good for bigger booters, but it can still butter with a bit of effort.

so bottom of the line: its not a soft ski, not a stiff ski either.
