title pretty much says it all

i wont be getting skis for a while but i wanted to get an idea of what to get based on:

-durability

-flex

-jump stability

-rail performance

I would try em both before u decided what to choose. Cuz both are very good skis. But if i could chose one of those pairs, i would go for the punx!

location: mount hood, oregon

height/weight/age: 5'4/115lbs/15

ability level: 3+

budget: under 600$

ski type: 75% park, 25% all mountain

punx. the funnest lightest park ski i have ever rode. im 5'9 on thew 182s. super dsoft and playful and definatley a park ski. but durability is not that great. i practically ripped the edge off and got a gnarley base crack

PUNX. Super solid park ski, the 2012s are an excellently produced and well marketed BAD IDEA. A park ski with rocker? what does rocker do? it shortens the running surface of the ski. what does the running surface of the ski do when its length is reduced? reduces stability, especially at speed. sure, it may be a bit more playfull and easy to butter around on so, if you REALLY love your butters, you can buy this butter specific ski for 600 bucks. but if you, like others, do more than butter on your skis, buy the punx

I'd say punx, 2012's are very soft and have rocker, therefore unstable on large jumps. Theyd be solid if you hit only rails and small jumps though.

Punx is softer than 2012.
Punx is the least durable ski I ever skiied. 10 days and the ski was noodly, rockered and the edge was seperated from the base from crashing in a jump. I barely railed with my skis. My friend had his punx for 3 days and about 20 edgecracks. Sidewall is made of plaster-similiar material, it just scrapes away..
My suspects 07/08 looked much better after 20 days, 3 edgecracks only.
I would say 2012.

^ You must have had a bad ski...

I rode them for a week at Mt. Hood and absolutely loved them...

I was able to completely bomb hills, yet they totally stayed stable and strong while turning. Then, I was able to butter as much as my heart desired on them over lips and knuckles and such. They were good on jumps too. And I liked them a lot on rails...

I'm around 5'7 and I used next year's 173's.

Hope this helps!

then i must have had 2 sets of bad skis. i ripped the edges off both sets. funnest ski around but durability is shit
