atomic punx or line afterbang? i know i will get one of them but im not really sure which i should go with, any ideas?

i think the punx is more high performance, but also more expensive. i've heard of some people really liking the afterbang, but i've also heard people complain that it feels dead.

punx? they are a tried and true ski already where as the afterbang has not really been consumer tested as much and can(not saying it will but CAN) turn into the invader situation all over again.

definately the punx. Its a sick ski. Afterbangs sound like they are are gunna be soft as hell where punx have a stiffer flex so they will be better all around then the afterbangs would be. What what are you mainly using them for?

so if i were to use one of these skis pretty much all in the park, the punx would be a better choice? how soft is the punx?

atomic punx are comparable to the AR6the URBAN punx are more comparable to the Anthem's flex pattern

the invader situation?

also, I'm interested to see what the people that have skied the afterbang and DIDNT like it have to say, so far I've just heard a lot "best rail ski ever"....

Not to thread jack, but I'm curious about the all mountain performance with the atomic Punx. And, just so we're clear, I am talking about the Punx not the Urban Punx. People tend to get confused.

I have punx. I love them. Super solid ski and really good durability. I don't know much about the afterbangs but line skis tend to not be so great durability wise from my experiences.

I rode afterbangs at a demo, good for rails, but i found them to be unstable and shakey on jumps, and i think they are to soft for jumps, i sketched out a couple times on spins. But they are a good rail ski if you only hit rails, not so great when it comes to higher speeds and jumps

the atomic part of the NSTV SIA video the guy said that the punx are unchanged except for the top sheet

The durability isn't really an issue anymore. I skied my 07/08 invaders super hard all season and they held up well. It seems like quality control at Line put the afterbang through hell and back so I'm not really doubting the durability but we'll see

so i ski probably 50% rails 50% jumps and from what i have heard i think im going with the punxs, any idea for bindings?

i skied the bangs for two weeks last season on a shop demo. i really enjoyed it. rails, jumps ect. others didn't i did. depends how you ski. everyone has a different feel and style. it'll be interesting to see how everyone else see the afterbang. picked a pair up last week, am stoked. hope you find your ski. word.

i could be wrong or just confused but i heard sooo many ppl say that the afterbang is the new invader which is NOT true, there was a testing day at my mtn i didint get to test cuz i didint have a parent but i did see and felt the afterbangs i was surprised to how stiff they were (im a chick so maybe a lil lighter fo the guys) they are not being replaced from the invaders its jsut a test ski the new "invaders" have some other name (and aweful graphics in my opinion) i was told by the line dude that was there at the time.

the mastermind is replacing the invader. The graphics are very similar to the 07 invaders. I don't know why people think the Afterbang is replacing the Invader though.

try the jesters or barons from marker. youll have a really direct feel to the si and they are low weight.

the punx are an awesome ski and more years have gone into development of the skis, whereas the afterbangs are completely new and were not consumer tested yet. maybe just wait for winter and demo both of them.

peace

true, sorry my bad, im confused with all the new bindings from marker and with their different din ranges.

stick with the jester.

peace

because its a cheaper, symmetrical jib ski. it effectively replaces the invader in category, albeit in a completely different performance level and construction. definitely stiffer than a lot of people think, its still soft, but no where near invader soft. they actually almost feel as stiff as chronics do once they break in.

mastermind is completely new really, its price point so it replaces the invader in that aspect, and its retarded soft, so that too, but its directional and narrow (softer flexing silencer, really) so different as well

this thread is from a month and a half ago smart guy. And way to be a total follower, dumbass. Maby he wanted a comparison because he doesn't know how they will compare to each other? idk, that's usually why people want a comparison.

Oh and my vote WOULD BE Punx...not that it matters because this is an old thread. good job

ok so i have a choice of marker or salomon bindings any ideas about which i should go with, anything helps(i think i weight between 120 and 130)thanks

you will definitely be fine with either the sth 12s or griffins. i think the sth 12s are lighter but im not sure. honestly just see what you can get a better deal on.
