Just want some advise. should I mount these centered or normal mounting ?

Want the ski to be a backcountry jib switchPOW ski thats why I am thinking centered if not a wee bit forward
 
are you actually steve crazy? if you are you are dope my friend. seriously sick. if you arent...well good for you for knowing about steve.

and personally i would run centre, but its up to you. i have no problem skiing anything centre but if youre used to a more traditional mounting point maybe move it back a little.
 
I don't like them mounted center, too stiff for that.

Ive got mine at +2 and thats the best position Ive found, although they also ski well at traditional.
 
not wishing to hijack the thread, but anyone got any views about how the pimp compares to the likes of seths, scratch bc, big trouble for one ski quiver?
 
The Pimps have alot less sidecut than any of those skis, so they kinda prefer to rally super G+ sized turns while the other examples you gave are more in the GS turn area. They are also the stiffest (torsionally and longitudinaly) out of those that you mentioned. ive only skied the Seths out of that list, and I really like them both, but I would have to say that the Seths are more forgiving, while you gotta be on it more for the Pimps.
 
the word on the street is Pimps are lighter than Seths or Scratch BCs or Big Troubles. Is this true?
 
im probably the biggest hater of atomic skis in the world. I own a pair of the big troubles and they kick ass.. but the pimps i dont know. They might just start a thing for atomic. There super light. dont seem to be all that stiff and for pow the more straight sidecut could be sick. I really wanna get on a pair this season
 
Pimps have a 27 & 30m turn radius (183, 193)

Seths are a 19m I believe, not sure exactly of the others, but they're in that range.

FIS GS is 19m & SG is 25m

I mount mine true center but I know a few of the guys have them 1 or 2 cm back of true center
