Atomic infamous question

so i got a pair of atomic infamous skis for a sick price and im using them for mainly park but i also plan on taking them a little bit outside of the park like a little all mountain.

so what i was wondering was can they still hold an edge? if im first on the hill in the morning and the parks not open will i still be able to rip a groomer or two? im not expecting something like a race ski but will they noodle out?

and are they okay if i want to take them a little all mountain i have some volkl skis but if i dont want to go to the car and switch out will they be all right?

+k

well you already got them...

You can ski a ski anywhere its about how well it does it.

You'll be fine.

I got infamous's this season too. They will be really fun.

Its just skiing

For a symmetrical park ski they actually carv really well. I had loads of fun out of the park on them and they are so much fun to carve switch.

The infamous will bring up any short comings in your skill ability so if you can carve really well on carve skis then you should be fine, however if you're a little iffy then it will show. However in my experience skiing dull centre mounted skis that it's a lot more fun when you're challenged to get onto an edge and hold it. Plus when you get your hands on a pair of carve skis then you can kill it.

haha yeah i raced like 3 years ago so im pretty confident at carving

They're a good ski and will be able to carve fine, they shouldn't jitter and become unstable provided you're not a massive dude.

However no ski ever will be able to carve very well with dull edges. So if you hit a lot of rails and dull the edges then they will loose a lot of their carving ability. Unfortunately that is a sacrifice you have to make if you want to hit rails, you can't have a ski that will both be able to slide rails without catching and hold an edge very well on hardpack.
