Atomic Blog or Bent Chetler?

I pretty much have it narrowed down to trying to chose between the atomic blog and bent chetlers. I have mostly skied park and usually stick to rails and jibbing. I do have some powder experience though. I am looking for a fun powder ski that is good for jibbing, can handle groomers, will work for backcountry skiing, backcountry jumps and switch landings/skiing. I am 6'4 and 190 pounds. Any suggestions or input to what i should choose would be great.

both these skis would work very well for all of the things you mentioned. are you going to ski more hard or soft snow?hard snow- get the blogssoft snow- bent chetlers

Yeah, the bent chentlers were designed with constant waist deep powder in mind, so you'd do better with the blog. It's more versatile

192 chetlers would be solid, if you cant find them try the 190 Elan Boomerang (super fun ski)

Rossignol makes a Super S7 that comes in 195. It's the same as an S7 but has a layer of metal for the slightly larger dude, you should check it out

i personally would go for the chetlers because i have a fat-ski fetish, but i think the blog is gonna perform excellent everywhere while the bentchetler is gonna be a more specific powder tool....
also, tell us a bit more about your riding?
i personally almost never ski groomers, even when the snow is bad, i stick to the trees and backcountry
so i'd suggest the blog if you don't have an allround ski yet, otherwise if you already have a ski with 100+waist i'd suggest the chetlers....

I have a pair of K2 public enemies for park and stuff. I don't really like them a lot though. I rarely find fresh pow that's like knee deep around were I live so I am usually in not very deep snow. I'm going to be going heli skiing this year though so I need a pair that can handle deeper snow on occasions while still skiing good on groomers or in crud

The Blogs only come in 185's and he's 193, I wouldn't say that's long enough for a pow ski.

I'd go with the Chetlers if I were you, but that's just because they come in 192.

189 Surface One Life

189 Obsethed

195 Super 7

192 Chetler

194 Moment Bibby

192 Solly Czar?

personally for what you are talking about i'd go in the 110-115mm waist region. If you want some groomer/crappy snow performance, slightly narrower and stiff will be better. If you want to jib you will find it easier if you ignore the true 'chargers'.

good call, i'm too lame to keep converting foot measurements to centimeters for every person that asks for ski advice :)

YO! Check out the Bluehouse Maestros. I was faced with a really similar predicament, and went with these.
189, 117 under foot, rockered, mid-stiff

This guy knows whats what.

I'd see if you can get your hands on the 192 Bent Chetler or the 189 One Life. I've been a huge fan of the One Life, light weight, stiffer flex but tons of rocker keep it playful. It performs well on hard snow, is fun (in a kind of goofy way) in the park, three-stage rocker is completely unsinkable in soft snow, and the construction quality is exponentially better than my LL2's that they replaced (no slightly off topsheets, better sanded and finished sidewalls and cleaner edges, much better structuring to the base.)
