Astro turf

i gotta get some to resurface my summer jib, i used that cheap orange fence..DONT USE IT..my edges cut it up and one of my tips cuaght and it threw my ass hard, how muc is astro turf at like home depot or somewhere?

I actually got some yesterday. For 48+ square feet it was like $17. It was 43 cents a square foot. I just got 2 things of 2x12. I havent used it yet, but it will be better than the tarps ive been using.

I honestly don't think it works very well, maybe i'm using the wrong astro turf or i don't no the tricks.

Astro Turf is easier to turn on but its demise is speed, vary slow even with soap and water. if your just going straight to hit a jib use "tarp". its fast but harder to turn on.

if your gonna use carpet put sontin hard under it other wise its mad slow.......just put wood under it and its nice and fast

I think turf works really well. You have to be careful though, dont build your on ramp too high because you have speed issues, or at least i did. Heres a pic of my setup

just go to the home depot shane. its the best solution. Everyone says it expensive but its not, 30$ and you have anuff for a decent sized summer setup. and it lasts too.

^what's the point of the astroturf if there's snowfence on top?

Also, what kind of orange fence breaks? I have some (yet to be used) and it's the thick stuff. Would that break?

I have lots of Astro Turf from the Cincinnati Reds old stadium that got torn down a few years ago. I think they must have tried hard to make it so it didn't get slippery when wet, becuase I'm having speed issues.

you can buy astro turf anywhere, like osh or home depot. its cheap.

i been using it for a while... seems like most of your speed issues will come from aggressive trannys so it helps alot to smooth those out.

anyone try putting some soft matting under the astroturf for a different surface feeling????? i been thinking about it but not sure what will happen........

sorry that was sort of unclear. I mean the ramp that goes up onto your rail. You can make your drop in as big as you want.

its this thin plastic fence, usually orange and i think you can find it in the guardening section at home depot or lowes. it is faster than turf, but you dont have as much control
