Last june aspen had a park you could ski for a few weekends in june and I missed it... anyone know if it'll happen again this year? I'm getting really sick of a basins 30 foot step down...

it was after abasin, at least that's when i went last year. id say just pick a rail at abay to hike and spend your afternoons doing that when the lips on the jumps are mashed potatoes like today. and the park there is fun but small, the jump was like 15 feet last year, and everything is hiking.

thanks brah, ill skip it for sure... got a few rails to set up where theres snow....breck prolly

i just went to aspen to skate and talked to some kid there. theyre gonna be open on weekends for a lil bit. lift access and all. any pass holder from any mountain can ride for 20 bucks, he didnt know if boxilla is happening though.

it was fun last year, but the park wasnt lift access, you just take a lift up to it...or know where to walk from so you dont have to ride the lift and pay.

Anyone going to hood this summer, but not too stoked on the drive? Theres a place in MT opening up soon with what sounds like a decent park. I think I'll be heading there instead of crowded, expensive hood.

hoods not that expensive if you know how to play it, just a long drive out, but there's lots of camping and you can clip tickets off the racers pretty consistently. what's the place in Montana? got any info?

theres a thread on it in the main forum somewhere, couple of decent jumps and lots of people vouching for the guy building the park, could be dope.

I have a pass to powderhorn resort. If i brought that to aspen would it only cost 20 bucks to ski there in that summer thing in june?

I have a pass to powderhorn resort. if i brough that to aspen at that summer ski thing would it still only be 20 dollars?

yeah whats the deal with the aspen park? dates? is it open to public? cause ive seen a brochure for it before but i thought it was just for camps...

any more info on this? when does it open and close? open to public? prices? etc... I hope I didn't already miss it. From the few videos I've seen it looks pretty sick

Last summer we just drove up one of the residential roads on snomass mountain and found a service road to park on and hiked in. There were camps but we went on the days that there were none (not sure what those days are now). Since we didnt take the lift we didnt have to pay and no one seemed to mind. We just camped elsewhere on the mountain. It was a blast. Thats all the info I have, sorry hope it helped.

the public days we went on were weekends, dont know if its the same this year, ill see if i can get ahold of aidan.

bad news, i sent them an email about it, this is what i got back:

"Thank you for your interest in Aspen/Snowmass. Unfortunately, the

glacier park is not open this summer due to the fact that we did not

have enough residual snowfall to operate the park in a safe manner."

ehhh went there tonight... theres a long heavy ass rail up there, but no really good patches of snow to set it up on... it would take some work, but you could prolly ski it a bit.
