Aspen open judging was the biggest piece of bullshit i have ever seen in my entire life...

sooooo many kids that did good got screwed... kids that fell, got high scores

and you automatically got terrrrible scores from the last two judges (mercon and davenport) if you didn't have poles...

the comp was run so smoothly but turned out a fucking sham in the judging department
 
welp that's not a suprise to me at all...dude's fallen off so hard i bet he's just bitter that a kid riding without poles that's half his age is way better then he was/will ever be. faggot was riding in a switch pizza into the us open booter, HA! what a clown.
 
i always thought mercon looked like he was having more fun than anyone else. isn't that the whole point? maybe you're the clown -- calling someone a faggot from behind an anonymous screen name. iamsocool... go away.
 
he might have been having more fun...but he's a closed minded asshole if he's giving people with no poles lower scores than anyone else, that's just fucking wack. and he WAS skiing like a goon at us open, hahaha.
 
yea, i was very suprised to see some people not make the semi's...

and it may have ran smooth in your heat, the first one right? and the second and the third... but 4th heat was totally fucked up, they were sending us out of order, the second i got back up to the top for my second run the guy made me go, the speed was totally sketch cuz of that wind and the warm snow... but whatever, things happen at comps like that with soo many people, there's not much you can do about it. but i completely agree with you about the judging
 
aspen open is gonna fuck everyone up in fantasy freeride unless if you knew who was gonna do it and who everyone was
 
This seems to be a trend as of late. I've heard a lot of complaints about Nick Mercon and Chris Hawks. The sport cannot and will not continue to grow without consistency in the judges booth and that means no Olympics as well.
 
if that's chris davenport...why did they have a big mtn skier/ski mountaineer judging the comp anyways?
 
ya i totally agree with Tom his run was so sick he was the the only one too pretzel and he did it super clean and just because the scores are avraged the bottom two judges screwed it over.
 
haha that's wack. same as at the ski tour in breck... they had chris hawks judging, which is somebody who knows absolutely nothing about pipe. i wonder if he has ever been in one..
 
acctually no I was at that noram, riddle was there. That was yesterday (feb 9th) so maybee they where different days
