Asking a girl to Homecoming, Good? Bad? Original?

I don't know if it's been said, but dude, it's fuckin september, wait a bit before asking, maybe you'll get pissed at her during the year....
 
going up to a girl and asking her: 0 effort. if she says no, who cares.

vs

spending hours filming and editing a video to ask a girl who might not even say yes, then having it shown in front of the entire class to ask her. if she says no, you are embarrassed and you wasted a shit ton of time.

not sure why you think the first one is being more of a 'man.' i'd call it being lazy/not giving a fuck. which is fine, just don't act like that's the 'harder' thing to do, because it's way easier and less scary by a long shot.
 
Firstly, congrats video was cool and in all honestly there was no way that wasn't going to work.
I love how all of you have to make so much effort. I'm lazy because girls are desperate to go to our school's ball. Makes it way to easy. I'm not joking, someone from school had an application process for who wanted to be his date, and another person put it on ebay and sold it for $2000-2500
 
mines Saturday!!!i asked a girl im really really good friends with her dad so i put about a 1000 glow stichs all over her back yard and her room looks out onto her back yard right... then i wrote home comming on each one of the trees in glow sticks (her house backs up to a forest)then when she got home her dad told her she had an f she went to her room in anger then she looked out her window and bamb theres me standing there with with flowers. i highly suggest it. dont be like my friend and put rose pedeals all over a chicks room she thought that was weird since they were going as friends but in psyched for you bro!!!

Not that bad just using the way you made it sound. People should do whatever. Doing it in front of the class is kind of shitty though. That kind of stuff can put people in an awkward spot.

Go have fun at homecoming with the girl you'll be with for less that a week. Enjoy 3 hours of dancing and all that.

Well yeah idk about the circle thing I guess. but this wasn't the type of thing where you give the girl a note and she gives it back with one thing circled. this was essentially the same thing as just asking.

I personally didn't show the girl my video in front of the class, it was more one on one. And it was my longtime girlfriend so it wasn't like she felt awkward and had to say yes. I can see what you're saying on that one though.

but you have to admit that going up and asking her isn't being more of a man, it's just a different way to do it. doesn't matter what people choose, but it's pretty fucked that somebody would get shit for putting in effort to ask a girl. If they want to do that, who the fuck cares?

Def think it not doing it in front of mad people is the best way though. IF you wanna ask them do it, if you wanna make a video do it, if you wanna hit them over the head and rape em do it

For sure. that was more aimed at other people who seemed to be more upset about this kid's idea than you were.

i personally wouldn't ask in front of a bunch of people either, but yeah i guess if that's their thing then it's cool
