ARV's vs Stomps

I wanted a second opinion as to whether or not I should go with some stomps, or arv's. I can get the arv's for $350 or I can get last years stomps for $220. I'd rather have the arv's, but I'm not sure that I want to pay an extra $130 for them. P.S. I'm sure I'd do fine on either pair, but I was just checking to see if anyone has any strong opinions twords either skis? Thanx

just because there is a goalie in the net doesnt mean you cant score

well, my two friends who, between them, have busted 4 pairs of Stomps in 1 season, and 2 sets of the bindings you NEED to buy if you get them, would probably tell you to get the ARVs. If you don't want to/don't have to buy new bindings, they're your only choice anyways.

Whistler Sucks.

get the ARVs. Damn Atomic binding systems are ancient, make the goddam thing weigh a ton. Yes atomic is supposed to come out with a new light-weight freeride ski, but I don't see it yet.

Go with the ARV

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

I also agree about the stomp binding system, eventhough I have some old ess var bindings that I could bend the brakes out to put on the stomps, I'd rather not be doing tricks with atomic bindings. The only reason that I'm not 100% sure about the ARV's is because the same rep that I know, that can also get me the skiis for 350 said that Armada's been having problems with their skiis breaking. Also if I went with the armadas I still wouldnt have to buy new bindings, but I could just rearrange my bindings between skiis.

how did you like your ski's, did you think they were stable enough at high speeds?

i have ridden the arv 175 on the east coast. I thought they were sweet. Nice flex, lots of pop of a fat ski, acrved nice, and were really stable switch. My buddies pair had a problem right when he got them (pretty much first run of production) got them replaced and they fix the manu problems, and the have held up great from what i have heard and seen

i would say ARV. atomics stomp gets annoying because of the binding. wieght that is.
